How to get Tear Crystal of Glorious Death in Honkai Star Rail

Crying since I met you...

As you advance through Honkai: Star Rail, character progression increasingly relies on your ability to gather rare materials. Some of them can be quite uncommon. They may even require you to synthesize them from other ingredients that also are uncommon. Here is our guide on how to get the Tear Crystal of Glorious Death in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail – How to get Tear Crystal of Glorious Death

The Tear of Glorious Death is an uncommon Tier 4 synthesis material. To get the Tear Crystal of Glorious Death material, you must defeat Everwinter Shadewalkers in the Corridor of Fading Echoes map. The enemies are quite common in that area. They even appear alongside the Frigid Prowler (who summons them with his Otherling ability).

Everwinter Shadewalkers are blue humanoid creatures constructed entirely of ice. As you might expect, they are weak against fire-based attacks. Physical and quantum attacks also work well. With that said, they fall pretty quickly to most elements.

Just don’t expect to easily take them out with ice attacks. Try to bring a high-level character with fire affinity (you can get the Fire Trailblazer around this area). That way, clearing out the Corridor of Fading Echoes map takes less time. Most enemies in the area are ice-based. March 7 or another character can take out the few fire-based types you encounter.

The game explicitly states you find the Tear Crystal of Glorious Death by defeating Everwinter Shadewalkers (and some other enemies) in the Corridor of Fading Echoes map. Unfortunately, the Tear Crystal of Glorious Death drop rate is exceedingly low. I’ve been known to make a complete run through the map without finding a single one, even with my Equilibrium level at 2. If you need the item, you may need to do quite a lot of farming on multiple days or raise your Equilibrium level to 3 or 4. The game doesn’t raise the possibility, but I’ve personally had much better luck finding the item as a reward for killing Incinerator Shadewalker enemies in Backwater Pass.
