How to get the Ninja Vest in MW3

Well, this seems broken!

Vests offer a slew of perks and bonuses in MW3 and can define your playstyle on the battlefield. As the name implies, the Ninja Vest is perfect for you crab walkers out there! If you want it, here’s how to get the Ninja Vest in MW3.

How to unlock the Ninja Vest in MW3

The Ninja Vest is an Armory unlock and requires the completion of five daily challenges to obtain. If you’re a new player and can’t access the Armory yet, you can do so at Level 25. Daily challenges are usually straightforward, and victories also count toward your Armory progression.

What does the Ninja Vest do in MW3?

The Ninja Vest is ridiculously powerful, and I expect to see it dominate multiplayer in all modes. Here’s what it does:

  • Eliminate footstep sounds
  • Immune to movement reduction effects
  • Bonus Shuriken / Throwing Knife ammo
  • Resupply Shuriken / Throwing Knives every 25 seconds

As the Ninja Vest does the job of Covert Sneakers, it changes the effect of those to Running Sneakers instead. The Running Sneakers increase your sprint duration and refresh rate.

I rarely find Running Sneakers useful in multiplayer and would probably run Stalker Boots instead. These Boots grant increased ADS movement speed but go with your favorites here. The Ninja Vest is powerful but locks the Gloves and one of your Gear slots from use.

Should I use the Ninja Vest in MW3?

The Ninja Vest is incredibly strong and arguably the best in MW3 at the time of writing. As the Ninja Vest eliminates your footstep sounds, it completely negates the need to use Covert Sneakers and will free up a slot for many players.

The slowing effect of tactical grenades is usually a death sentence in multiplayer, and this Vest also stops that. The Throwing Knife/Shuriken perks are far more niche, but the bonuses we’ve already covered are more than enough to make the Ninja Vest a Must Pick.

If you’re a returning player in Season 2, I recommend taking the Ram-7 Assault Rifle for a spin. Check out our guide for the best attachments.
