How to get the Tempus Torrent in MW2 and Warzone 2

It's easy. Just click on their heads!

Season 02 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has just begun and has brought many changes, improvements, and additions to the standard multiplayer and battle royale. One of the most exciting additions this time around is a brand-new Marksman Rifle, the Tempus Torrent. Like most new weapons, you can’t just dive in and play with the new toys. You need to earn them first; fortunately, it’s not too difficult. Let me show you how to get the Tempus Torrent in MW2 and Warzone 2.

How to unlock the Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle in MW2 and Warzone 2

To get the Tempus Torrent in MW2 and Warzone 2, you must get 25 double kills with Marksman Rifles. You can complete this task in whatever mode you wish, and you’ll have a much easier time if you own MW2. Shipment is the perfect map for the task as it’s manic, chaotic, and crowded. If you play aggressively and rush the center of the map, you’ll get the kills you need in no time.

If you only have Warzone 2, fear not, as 25 double kills aren’t too demanding, although they will take a while. To expedite the process, ensure you have a Marksman Rifle loadout ready. If you’re a strong player, listen for gunfire and try to pressure groups from a distance. If you’re not confident playing aggressively, you can take the slow and steady approach. Regardless of your playstyle, these double kills will be easier if you play Duos, Trios, or Quads. You can also unlock the Tempus Torrent on Ashika Island if you want a fast-paced game.

Mercifully, the unlock requirements are alright for F2P players. There has been far worse in the past, with some guns being almost impossible to obtain without the base game. If you played Warzone 1, you might remember horrendous unlocks like the Grau 5.56, which were brutal to get in the battle royale.

Currently, there are no bundles in the store that include the Tempus Torrent, but new packs show up periodically, so you may be able to purchase the Rifle with COD Points in the future.

Is the Tempus Torrent a meta contender?

Marksman Rifles, by their nature, demand a skilled hand to stand toe to toe with automatic weapons. MW2 and Warzone 2 are full of bullet hoses that can delete players in a fraction of a second, so the Tempus Torrent will likely remain a niche pick.

Season 02 Reloaded has brought nerfs to many of the most powerful guns in the game, including the Raal MG, RPK, and the terrifying KV Broadside Shotgun. Early testing shows that the Tempus Torrent has almost zero recoil with the right attachments. Time will tell if that’s enough for it to dominate in Al Mazrah.
