If you’ve seen a little green monkey holding an assault rifle on any of Palworld’s marketing, then you’ve seen Tanzee. Thankfully this little Pal is easy to find from the start. Here’s how you can find Tanzee in Palworld.

Where to find Tanzee in Palworld

Tanzee is one of the best early-game Pals you can get, and can be found roaming the hills to the northwest of the Plateau of Beginnings in Palworld. It’s usually hiding somewhere amid the trees or sitting atop the hill near a Chillet. The Tanzees in this area are usually somewhere between level four and five so they’re a good addition to an early team. Check the map below for the general area where Tanzee can be found.

If no Tanzee are appearing in this region in Palworld then head back to the Plateau of Beginnings and return to this point. That should refresh their spawns and it’s worked for me in my game. Be sure to check every nook and cranny though as Pals can wander around to some strange places. I’ve had a bunch of Pals appear in hard-to-find locations. While you’re in this area I’d also heavily recommend grabbing the Grassy Behemoth Hills marker just to the south of where you’ll find Tanzee. You can see it greyed out on the map above for its exact location.

How best to use Tanzee

Tanzee is one of the best Pals in the early game of Palworld to have at your base. It’s able to do a ton of jobs including Planting, Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering, and Transporting. So if you’ve got materials that need collecting or crops that need planting, Tanzee’s the one to do it.

For combat, Tanzee will unlock its Assault Rifle ability once you’ve chosen it on the 12th level of the Technology tree in Palworld. This skill costs one point, 15 Ingots, 15 Wood, and 10 Paldium Fragments. And once it’s unlocked Tanzee becomes one dangerous little Pal. It’s hard to imagine such a cute little guy wanting to use an Assault Rifle with such glee but hey don’t judge a book by its cover and all that. While you’re at it, you might as well find another great early-game Pal in Pengullet.
