How to Time Skip in LEGO Fortnite

Getting my eight hours of sleep no matter what.

With Lego Fortnite being all about survival and simulating that, a lot of mechanics are centered around making that as immersive as possible. Things like healing can be done in a few ways that mimic real-life health tips, for instance. However, for some reason, passing time isn’t something you can do as a mechanic. To learn how to skip time in Lego Fortnite, follow along.

Lego Fortnite: How to skip time

In most survival-based games, you would do something like rest or sleep to pass the time. For Lego Fortnite, I wish it was like that. Instead of resting, you simply need to exit the match by pressing the escape key. Within the lobby of the game, select a world to play on, and then you’ll get sent back to the match at a different time in the day.

Note: I’ve tested this method, and it seems to work when you leave the game at night. Upon signing back in, you’ll be greeted with the daytime.

Passing time like this in Lego Fortnite may seem tedious, but it’s surprisingly easy to do — if you don’t mind going in and out of your game constantly. This method could also help you spawn closer to your friends since players like myself are having issues with that still.

Why skip time?

For starters, the world is different at night than it is during the day. Skeletons will roam around and follow you. Plus, Lego Fornite does seem a little harder during those hours. This method isn’t just for the time of day, you can also skip the rain and other weather effects. When it rains, it pours. You can’t do a lot of things like craft. Unless you have your camp and equipment in a shelter, you’re going to have to play the waiting game. So by skipping time in Lego Fortnite, you can skip that headache of having to wait and reset everything.
