How to unlock Geralt of Rivia in Fortnite

The famed monster slayer comes to Fortnite

The famous (or infamous, if you’re from Blaviken) monster-slaying Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, is one of many video game crossover characters in Fortnite. Teased during the reveal of the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass, players can unlock the gaming legend’s skin, as well as several other Witcher-themed cosmetics like emotes, sprays, pickaxes, and back bling. Getting ahold of the White Wolf is pretty simple, so here’s our Fortnite guide to unlock Geralt of Rivia.

As mentioned above, unlocking Geralt is pretty straightforward. Several new quests were added to the game, and each unlocks a Witcher-themed cosmetic. There are five in total, and completing all five rewards you with the Geralt of Rivia skin. These quests can be done in any order and include:

  • Activate Reality Augments in five different matches – Unlocks Geralt of Rivia Loading Screen
  • Complete three bounties (as either the hunter or the prey) – Unlocks Muscle Memory Spray
  • Defeat a Boss – Unlocks Weapons of Witcher Back Bling
  • Emote in the Citadel Throne Room – Unlocks Igni Sign Emote
  • Deal 500 melee weapon damage to opponents – Unlocks Witcher’s Steel Sword Pickaxe

These quests are pretty quick to complete, and you’ll likely finish most of them simply by playing the game. Dealing 500 melee weapon damage seems the most difficult out of the five, but you have until the end of Season to unlock Geralt. Additionally, accessing Geralt’s quests requires the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass. More quests that unlock an alternate color scheme for Geralt become available on February 28.

The School of Llama

If you don’t have the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass, you can still unlock some Witcher cosmetics for free. There are also School of Llama challenges accessible to all players, regardless of the Battle Pass. It contains several challenge paths and creator-made islands. Participating in the School of Llama requires registration on the official website and grants several rewards, including pickaxes, lobby tracks, Fortnite experience points, and emoticons.

You can download Fortnite for free on the Epic Games Store.
