I find Terry Cavanagh’s Maverick Bird to be much better than Flappy Bird

There was a recent game jam created in support of Flappy Bird’s creator, Nyugen. Many game developers created similar games to Flappy Birds. One such game was Maverick Bird by celebrity indie dev, Terry Cavanagh. I personally find Maverick Bird to be the game I wished Flappy Bird would have been.

Maverick Bird has all the classic Terry elements: addictive qualities, flashy neon visuals that try to throw your game off, minimalist design, and perfect controls.

In a certain sense it reminds me of Super Hexagon as a side-scrolling game. Try it out yourself and see how far you can get.
