If you’re going to borrow, borrow from the best. That’s a lesson Paradox and Cyanide’s Impire appears to be taking to heart, as the Gamescom 2012 trailer pretty much gives up any pretense that the game will be different from Bullfrog’s much-loved Dungeon Keeper series.

Building dungeons; check. Training up creatures with little training dummies; check. Leading your horde into battle; check. Imps doing all the construction work for you; check.

Honestly, a straight Dungeon Keeper clone would be fine with me. It’s due on PC in early 2013.
