The thousands of people who own and wear Batman-underpants can rejoice this January, as Gotham City Imposters will cater to their unusual preoccupations. That’s the shooter title where two teams of players dress variously as Batman and The Joker and do battle against one another in a sort of Live Action Role-Playing version of the ancient comicbook rivalry.
Oh, except people can actually get badly hurt. In a cartoon violency sort of way, at least.
The game will be released through PC, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network in January 2012. Have a watch of the CGI trailer below for a rough idea what you’ll be able to get up to.
Open beta of Gotham City Imposters will begin next month on Xbox 360 and PS3 (but not PC, *sob*). To sign up, head to the official website.
