New World Interactive announced that the game will be published by Focus Home Interactive. And, to further this announcement, the President of Focus Home Interactive, Cédric Lagarrigue, had this to say:

We are very proud to partner with American studio New World Interactive. Insurgency is one of the most praised and played First Person Shooters on PC. We are excited to support NWI in this new adventure, and we will do everything we can to make Insurgency: Sandstorm a hit on consoles and PC in 2017.

The game is being rebuilt from the ground up in Unreal Engine 4 and will feature a brand new single player campaign in addition to the classic multiplayer of Insurgency. According to Lagarrigue, the game is set to release in 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Although there was the announcement that the game is in development, there is currently no firm release month or day.
