Is the PC GTA 5 delay justified? Will you buy it? What’s your opinion?

Rockstar pushed back the release of GTA 5 on the PC to 2015 but is it justified?

PC gamers had been waiting a long time to find out of Grand Theft Auto V would eventually come to PC and we finally got the good news. The bad news last week was that the PC version was to be delayed until January next year. Rockstar issued a statement explaining why the PC version was being delayed:

We’re glad to see so many of you are excited for the upcoming release of the new versions of GTAV and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon. We are also incredibly excited to be bringing GTAV to the PC, but the game requires a little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible. Please do stay tuned as we reveal new features and information about all the new versions in the weeks ahead.

Despite a very vibrant PC modding community for GTA IV Rockstar look to be prioritising the next-gen console release which will be released in November as planned. Does the PC version really need the extra time? How do you feel about the delay? Will you buy it or is it too little too late?

no way im buying it after treating us like cunts; but ill still play it, how’s that r*? and know alot of ppl who would have bought it day one if it came the same day as consoles but not anymore

I just have to say that i find it strange how i can’t give a damn about this game. i loved GTA3, VC, SA and the stories games, yet I’m not interested in GTA5 in the least.

I’m not going to buy it. But the reason is I already own/played it on PS3. I see no incentive to get again on either current gen consoles or PC.

I have too many games to play and probably won’t buy it until it’s on sale anyway, so I voted yes.
Although the cynic in me thinks “No, it’s either an outdated way of preventing piracy or shameless attempt to encourage double-dipping.”
