I’m not too sure how I feel about the information that the highest scoring member of a Far Cry 3 competitive multiplayer team gets to “choose the fate” of the highest scorer from the losing team. As one of the options is “let the guy go,” perhaps it will lead to an outpouring of compassion and empathy. That’s the optimistic view, anyway.

In this latest trailer, which shows the competitive multiplayer side of Ubisoft’s forthcoming title, teamwork is somewhat emphasised. If you don’t work together, you’re not going to be able to achieve victory in modes like the one that demands two separate enemy locations be set on fire at once.

There’s also the usual assortment of guns and skills, attained by playing the game a lot and ‘levelling’ up.

Tim’s Far Cry 3 review will be up on 21 November, so look out for that. The new trailer is below.
