Jurassic World Evolution 2: How to enclose the Allosaurus in the Campaign

Allosaurus? More like Annoya-saurus.

Jurassic World Evolution 2‘s campaign isn’t particularly interesting (it’s akin to a glorified tutorial). In fact, we even suggest playing Challenge mode to unlock more dinosaurs and buildings for the Sandbox. However, there’s one particular mission that can be a little tricky due to a bug. Here’s our Jurassic World Evolution 2 guide to help you safely enclose the Allosaurus in the Washington campaign mission.

How to safely enclose the Allosaurus in the Washington campaign mission in Jurassic World Evolution 2

The second mission in Jurassic World Evolution 2‘s campaign takes place in Washington. After the intro, you’re told to repair the ruined enclosures or construct new ones for the two Carnotaurus that are rampaging near the base. Then, a new objective pops up. It tells you to directly control a ranger van and drive it down the forest path. Along the way, you’ll find several markings that you can scan. Eventually, you’ll stumble upon the Allosaurus. Go shoot it with tranquilizers and bring it back to base.

So, what exactly is the bug? Well, the task in this Jurassic World Evolution 2 mission says that the Allosaurus has to be safely enclosed. Now, in the previous location, you’re advised to build enclosures first to get ready for new dinosaurs that are arriving. As such, there’s a good chance that you built a larger enclosure just to prepare for the Allosaurus this time around.

Once you airlift it, however, nothing happens. It’s as though the game doesn’t count your action as successful. You can see this in the image below:

If you encountered this bug just like I have, then all you need to do is use the ranger helicopter team to tranquilize the dinosaur. Then, airlift it to another enclosure (i.e., one used by the Carnotaurus). When you do this, the timer will start working. Once it elapses, you’ll have safely enclosed the Allosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution 2.

Next, you’ll need to complete a couple of additional tasks:

  • Get the Allosaurus to have 80% comfort – If you’ve already constructed a larger pen, then tranq and airlift the dinosaur back there. If you meet its environmental and food needs, then its comfort rating should increase.
  • Treat the Allosaurus’ injury – Construct a Paleo-Medical Center. Then, order a medical unit to scan the dinosaur. Tranq and airlift the Allosaurus to the building so it can get treated.
