Kuki Shinobu leads the Arataki gang in newest Genshin Impact trailer

The brains behind the Arataki Gang.
Kuki Shinobu Genshin Impact

While Arataki Itto is the technical leader of the Arataki Gang, Kuki Shinobu is the one who is really behind the wheel. The true powerhouse of the Arataki Gang deserves playable status on her own, and HoYoverse is delivering the goods. Kuki Shinobu is set to release in the latter half of Genshin Impact’s version 2.7 update, and there’s a new trailer showing off some of Kuki Shinobu’s skills. She keeps Arataki Itto in line, and she’ll be a great asset to your party.

Kuki Shinobu is a 4-star Electro character who will fill the unique niche of being the element’s first healer. Electro characters lack the survivability that some other classes have, so Kuki Shinobu will fill in a welcome role for teams that utilize Electro characters like Fischl or Yae Miko. Additionally, as a 4-star character, you likely won’t need to break the bank to add her to your roster. Unless, your luck runs out.

The Arataki Itto de facto leader

Kuki Shinobu faces off against tons of treasure hoarders in the trailer, fighting with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. While she’s fighting alone in the trailer, don’t be mistaken. Kuki Shinobu is a support character, and will provide tons of utility to your team. Don’t try pairing her with Arataki Itto, though. While it’s nice that Arataki Itto’s subordinate is coming to the game, the two won’t pair together well in practice.

Kuki Shinobu will be available to pull from June 21 to July 12. She’ll join Arataki Itto, Chongyun, and Gorou as characters receiving rate-ups during the latter half of the update. If you aren’t completely sold on Kuki Shinobu’s status as an Electro healer, you can check out her gameplay trailer below. Be sure to save up plenty of Primogems to get Kuki Shinobu on your team.
