Assassin's Creed Valhalla Latest Trailer Puts The Spotlight On Eivor (1)

Following Ubisoft Forward, the developers behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have been sharing a lot more for the upcoming entry. With the ability to change the main character Eivor’s gender at will, crazy boss fights, and a world chock-full of mysteries, it looks set to be another open-world epic for the company. To give players more of an idea who Eivor actually is, Ubisoft has revealed a brand new trailer.

Blood, sweat, and mysteries

In what could be the musings of a wise sage, we are taken into the visions of a future Eivor. Whilst the conquest of the English lands will give the Vikings somewhere to call home, it would appear that Eivor is seeking something more. Not just glory, but also recovering something mysterious. What that may be might end up costing more than Eivor can give. This new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla trailer certainly hints at something darker for the game. Will the Vikings’ search for peace be the end of the violence, or will this mission be leading down a slippery slope?

“I see conquest, I see your enemies. Your struggles. Your doubts. Glory awaits you, Eivor, but it will cost you everything. I can see all of it,” the sage expounded ominously. “Blood and flame, loyalty and family, betrayal, hunger. There is a war within you, and glory will not be enough.”

Seek your true calling

The mysteries remain, and it could easily have something to do with the modern-day events unfolding within the Assassin’s Creed universe as well. As players fight to secure more resources and riches, you can grow your clan’s settlements and strengthen your position. Now, we will just have to see where that leads to, and how Eivor and the players will make of things.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch this November 17 for PC, Stadia, and consoles.
