Left 4 Dead 2’s Dark Carnival Teased

Valve has released a single screenshot of Left 4 Dead 2’s Dark Carnival campaign. This campaign is presumably the one that was hinted at a few weeks ago, as this sounds like a fairground setting to us. Don’t expect much more in the way of details yet, though – the campaign is set to be revealed proper at next week’s Penny Arcade Expo, so that’s when we’ll be hearing more.Dark Carnival is the third of five Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns to be revealed. The other two we know about are The Parish, set in the New Orleans French Quarter, and Swamp Fever, set out in the bayous. Of course, neither of these have clown zombies. Brr. The last game I remember that featured clown zombies was House of the Dead: Overkill, and they were creepy even in that.Anyway, you can see this brand new screenshot for yourself. Point your eyes to the upper right. You’ll also want to have a look at our Left 4 Dead 2 preview to find out what we know. And those who don’t plan to upgrade to Left 4 Dead 2 right away, or who simply can’t wait that long, take heart: there’s another DLC campaign for the first game coming soon.
