Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga receives two more DLC character packs

The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch get to shine.

The sheer number of playable characters remains one of the most appealing aspects of developer TT Games’ Lego series. Regardless of the IP that the developers work with, they make sure to satisfy as many fans as possible (perhaps to an unhealthy extent). Players can unlock and control nearly every identifiable character within that IP, regardless of if they have practical gameplay uses. The recently released Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga stands as no exception, as the base game includes a whopping 384 characters spanning across the entire Star Wars universe. And thanks to the two new DLC packs that just dropped in celebration of Star Wars Day, fans of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga have even more familiar faces to clown around with.

The Mandalorian – Season 2 pack represents the first of these two batches of DLC, and it comes with five characters from the hit TV show. These characters include the show’s version of Boba Fett, Bo Katan, Fennec Shand, Moff Gideon, and Ahsoka Tano. Of all these characters, Ahsoka will probably please longtime Star Wars fans the most. She became incredibly popular ever since her proper debut in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.

What does the other pack have?

Meanwhile, the second DLC pack, dubbed the “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” Character Pack, features the team of five clones who debuted in the titular TV show that arrived on Disney+ last year. For those who don’t know, these clones go by the names Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo.

With the addition of these two DLC packs, the total roster in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga now includes 424 characters to choose from. Players of all skill levels will certainly enjoy experimenting with what these extra characters may bring to the table. It helps that the game features a weirdly intricate combo system. Naturally, this means that videos of these characters performing expert combos on a 9-year-old Anakin Skywalker may drop onto your YouTube feed soon.
