Dontnod Entertainment has been knocking it out of the park with their recent offerings. The likes of Life is Strange, Twin Mirror, and Tell Me Why have certainly carved out a niche for the studio, and fans have been enjoying themselves exploring and learning the stories of the diverse characters that often take the spotlight. If narrative-driven games are your jam, then this news will be perfect for you. It would appear that Dontnod is keeping busy, with six new games in production. A new studio is also being opened in Montreal.
In an interview with Venture Beat, Dontnod Entertainment CEO Oskar Guilbert shared more about the future of the studio. In terms of growth and direction, there are currently six different games in production right now. With recent releases gaining plenty of positive reception from both media and players, this has only made Dontnod more proud of what they have been doing.
As to what these six games are, we have no idea. What we do know is that the new Montreal studio will give the Dontnod Entertainment more manpower to work on their bread and butter. The narrative-driven games look likely to be continuing, and who can blame them? The new studio will be headed up by Dontnod’s executive producer Luc Baghadoust and creative director Michel Koch. They will be joined by staff that has worked on both Life is Strange games. The Montreal studio will be working on a brand new IP for Dontnod.
Everything seems to be on the up and up for Dontnod Entertainment. Following their partnership with Xbox to push out Tell Me Why this year, we have the adventure detective game Twin Mirror arriving next month. With six new mysterious games in the works, there is much more to expect from Dontnod. Perhaps a return to Life is Strange is on the cards? We certainly hope so.
