There’s not doubt that “Star Wars: Episode VII” is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Mark Hamill’s role in the film is still a bit fuzzy, particularly what his physical presence is going to entail. At least for Star Citizen, developed by Cloud Imperium Games, there’s a much smaller shroud of mystery surrounding Hamill’s character there. Enter Lieutenant Commander Steve ‘Old Man’ Colton of Squadron 42.
Hamill’s father was a Naval Officer. He describes his dad as not being a “people person” and “…gruff.” These are common traits that he sees and describes in Lt Cdr Colton. At least at this point we can marvel in the beauty of Star Citizen. The game is being developed with a modified CryEngine and is looking to support VR. The game is slated for launch in 2016.
