Mass Effect 2 Sells 2 Million Copies

Electronic Arts (EA) has revealed BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 has sold 2 million copies in the first week.EA also announced that on launch day Mass Effect was the most searched item on Google News and was one of the top 10 most tweeted topics.Mass Effect 2, launched in the States on Tuesday, hit retail stores in the United Kingdom only yesterday to sell two million copies on the first day.”Mass Effect 2 is poised to be one of the biggest games of 2010″ Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare stated.

He added, “We could not be more proud of the game’s universal acclaim and early commercial success.”We, just like everyone else, absolutely loved Mass Effect 2. But we had to ask the question, especially after Dragon: Age Origins launched only late last year, are BioWare games going stale?
