The last time I wrote about the HD remake of MDK 2 it was back in June 2010, but the project is now finally ready to release in September.
More than a few (if by “a few” you mean three) BioWare veterans are involved with this, including Trent Oster, Cameron Tofer, Russ Rice and Sean Smailes. Together with Interplay and Overhaul Games, they’ve HD-ified MDK 2 for both new fans and old.
In case you’ve forgotten what the game is about (possible, as it’s 11 years old) it tells the everyday story of Kurt Hectic (the janitor), Dr. Fluke (the mad scientist) and Max (the, err, six-legged gun wielding dog) and their quest to save earth from alien invasion.
MDK 2 HD will launch exclusively through the Beamdog digital distribution site and cost $15 USD. It was originally supposed to be coming to the Wii too, but that seems to no longer be the case. Sorry, Wii users.
