Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance cancelled for 360 in Japan

The Xbox 360 version of Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been cancelled in Japan. Only the PlayStation 3 version will be released in its home country.

Konami has come out with an apology, but hasn’t stated the precise reasons for the cancellation. The publisher refused to say anything other the decision was taken due to “various reasons”.

This is, of course, sad news for the three people in Japan that own a 360 but not a PS3. Why is it sad news? Well, just check out this trailer:
