Nvidia want you to squeeze the most out of  Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes which releases today.

The next Metal Gear to hit the PC launches today and perhaps you’re concerned about performance or want to know what to tweak. There’s now a lengthy guide up on the Nvidia site which offers quite a few pointers on what to expect and what to tinker with. First of all, here’s a reminder of the system specs.

Minimum Specifications

  • OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
  • Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
  • Memory: 4GB RAM or above
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or above
  • DirectX: Version 11 or above

Recommended Specifications

  • Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
  • Memory: 8GB RAM or above
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 760 or above

The guide highlights the features of the the Fox engine and includes more PC/PS4 comparison shots as well as stacks of benchmarking charts which have been compiled using a GTX 980 on an  I7 running with Windows 8.1 x64 at 4K on max game settings. That’s probably more than the average PC gamer will have access to but they give you an idea of what’s possible when it comes to FPS. If you’re running the game on lesser hardware at a lower resolution then the FPS should still be decent if these charts are anything to go by.

Nvidia point out that to get the most from the game when it comes to performance it’s best to download the new GeForce Game Ready 347.09 drivers released yesterday.

With any luck we’ll be taking a look at the PC performance later today.
