Metro 2033 Widescreen Fix Coming

The Metro 2033 developers have acknowledged the widescreen problem and are working on a fix.Early purchasers of the survival horror FPS have been reporting that Metro 2033 doesn’t support widescreen properly, with plenty of forum threads regarding the issue and possible user-made fixes around.”No widescreen at least for me,” reports PhilB on the Beyond3D forums. “At 1440×900 it literally takes the 1024×768 image and stretches it (characters look really fat.”Other users on the Steam forums report that things appear “zoomed,” with text cut off to the sides.Fortunately, the developers are aware of the issue. A recent Tweet on the official Metro 2033 Twitter reads “PC Widescreen issues – yes, we know about it. Yes, we’re working on it. We’ll keep you posted!”And so will we. More when we hear about it, although we note that widescreen problems have been happening all too often with high-end PC games lately, with BioShock 2 the most recent title to suffer the wrath of the public for widescreen issues.
