In a tweet from Patrick Geuder who is a data analysis for Mojang says “Minecraft console editions together just passed Minecraft for PC/Mac. And across all platforms we’ve sold almost 54 million copies.”

Minecraft was released on PC in 2009 and was later released on iOS in 2011, but the game later came to Xbox 360 on May 9th 2012 to huge sales and later on PS3, developed by 4JStudios. Minecraft will also be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita.
