Modern Warfare 3 does $775 million in five days

When will Call of Duty cease to set new records? Not in the near future, it seems. The latest figures for the series show that its popularity among consumers is constantly growing. In typically bolshy fashion, Activision have today announced that Modern Warfare 3 has broken five-day sales records for any game, movie or book.
In five days Modern Warfare 3 has grossed $775 million, beating the previous record of $650 set by Black Ops and the $550 million set by Modern Warfare 2 two years ago.
Modern Warfare 3 has also set a new record for concurrent users on Xbox Live. On 8 November 3.3 million players were playing the game over Microsoft’s online service, beating the previous record of 2.6 million set by Black Ops.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and predict that there will be at least one more Call of Duty.
