Mordheim shifts into Early Access Phase 5

Mordheim: City of the Damned moves into Phase 5 today, bringing with it mutations, gear enchantments, and new maps.

The Cult of the Possessed faction now receive random mutations on levelling up, which are apparently detailed in the screenshots below. The Rune System is now in the game, letting you enchant armour and equipment, with armour itself now getting a visual representation on units. There’s now an in-game chat system, a combat log, and “many more tweaks and options” suggested by the community. And, happily, there’s both a new map and a new procedural map available.

As far as I can tell, this Mordheim patch should be available now. Either way, you can view the detailed patch notes here.

If you want to try Mordheim for yourself then it’s apparently 33% off on Steam until Monday, so you can grab it for a reduced price of £16.07 if these changes have made you want to give it a shot.
