A new trailer for Mortal Kombat X has forcefully rammed old favourites like Kung Lao, Kitana, and Goro into the eyes of the internet.

Depressingly, Goro is actually playable only if you pre-order from GAME in the UK, in a move guaranteed to make everyone who’s sick of outlet-specific pre-order bullshit (and pre-order bonuses in general) go “Hnnng.” I imagine he’ll be paid DLC somewhere down the line – and I’m certain he’ll be available from some sort of retail outlet in other countries – but if you’re in the UK and you want to play as Goro at launch, then you’re going to have to pre-order from GAME.

Still, Mortal Kombat X itself looks to be shaping up quite nicely. It’ll be uppercutting its way to stores (and hopefully at least one digital distribution outlet) on 14 April, so we’ll find out for sure sometime around then.

Also… is it just me, or does Quan Chi sound a bit like Neil from The Young Ones in this trailer?
