Official Mount & Blade Ii Bannerlord Modding Tools Are Coming End August (2)

Early Access can do both wonders for or spell doom for a game, depending on the reception. Developer TaleWorlds Entertainment is certainly embracing it, as it continues its work on fleshing out Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Part of that process included the use of community mods, available since the first day of Early Access. We have covered some of the great work out there by fans, but so far, everything has been done unofficially. That is all set to change when the official Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord modding tools make their debut.

In the latest development update, the developers showed off some of the Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord modding tools that players can get their hands on. They look to be rich with features, and that is a good thing considering how hardcore the franchise’s fans can be. There is a terrain editor, scene editor, atmosphere editor, mesh editor, and material editor. Together, they look like a whole line of tools that can essentially remake any aspect of the game, all supported by the developers themselves.

Tools of creativity

New locations, maps, and worlds can be created by fans using the Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord modding tools. Essentially, this is a step in the same direction that made Mount & Blade: Warband so amazing with its total and comprehensive mods. Fans can look forward to working out their creativity at the end of August.

For those wary of playing around with the game through mods, there are other updates to look forward to as well. Combat will see some improvements, and to prove a point, you will soon be able to brace your spears. Anything or anyone foolish enough to run at your braced spears will take damage.Spear walls will now be an actuality with consequences. In addition, the AI for formations will be enhanced. This will allow for the changing of formations in combat to be much more effective than before.
