In Mount & Blade: Fire & Sword, it is the 17 Century. This means you can now point a gunpowder-filled object at somebody and make them crumple from their horse in terrible pain.
The latest trailer for this standalone entry in the Mount & Blade series shows us just how to do this, alongside more traditional Mount & Blade methods of dispatching people, like slashing them across the face with a sword.
Five playable factions (the Polish, the Ukrainian Cossacks, Russians, Swedes and the Crimeans) and all of them will be expected to get stuck in to battle.
There’s no concrete release date in place for Mount & Blade: Fire & Sword at present, but it’s expected during the second quarter of 2011 (so, summer then.)
