Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword Trailer

Paradox has released an announcement trailer for the latest standalone expansion for Mount & Blade, Taleworlds’ horse combat sandbox RPG.
Revealed two weeks ago along with multiple other titles, Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword will, like Mount & Blade: Warband, be a standalone game.
Set in the 17th Century, With Fire & Sword aims to recreate the period in which early gunpowder weapons came up against the old ways of fighting. So you’ll see early hand-grenades, muskets and pistols alongside classic swords, bows and pikes.
Five playable factions will feature in the title: the Polish, the Ukrainian Cossacks, Russians, Swedes and the Crimeans.
Mount & Blade (and its retail release, Warband) has some of the best hand-to-hand and horse combat fighting in the videogame world, so it’ll be interesting to see how firearms affect the balance of play.
