Namco Bandai Now Officially Bandai Namco Worldwide

Namco Bandai has made it official; starting April, they will be changing the company’s name worldwide to Bandai Namco. This move will simply bring the name in line with what it’s already called in Japan.

Apparently, the move is also partly an attempt to increase the value and name recognition of the firm. Namco may be a large and profitable gaming business, but the Bandai arm of the company, comprising toys, animation, live action TV shows, etc, is a veritable goliath compared to it. To put things in perspective, Bandai is the 3rd largest toymaker in the world, just after Hasbro and Mattel.
