2K has announced NBA 2K10 has sold over two million copies worldwide.The impressive sales figures mark a 60 per cent increase in sales over the same period last year for NBA 2K9.
Featuring the new My Player mode and the NBA Today service (real world stats streamed into the game), NBA 2K10 proved to be another critical and commercial success for 2K. The latest release in the basketball series was the top-rated NBA game for the ninth year running (according to GameRankings).
“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished this year with NBA 2K10, and this milestone is another fantastic reason to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the NBA 2K franchise,” said 2K president Christoph Hartmann.”We would like to thank all of our loyal fans for their dedicated support and look forward to the continued success of this title.”
Good news for 2K, although not all its sports titles fared so well in 2009.
