During the NCSoft financial call earlier today, NCSoft revealed that a console version of Guild Wars 2 will be developed.
Back in 2007 NCSoft signed an ‘exclusive’ game development deal with Sony, although it never specified for which titles, and this agreement may not apply to Guild Wars 2.
ArenaNet and NCSoft are “currently” concentrating on getting the PC version tested and out the door with the second phase of closed Beta testing taking place this coming weekend (watch out for future hands-on coverage here on IncGamers).
Based on what we heard in the conference call it is unlikely we will see a console version of the MMO for some time but stay tuned for more news on this in the coming months ahead.
