With Destiny 2: Beyond Light arriving this November 10, Bungie is making sure that all Guardians know just what to expect. Travelling to Europa will be no easy time, with enough threats, mysteries, and power awaiting your presence. The latest Destiny 2: Beyond Light trailer, or ViDoc, covers all aspects of the main features of the expansion. The freezing landscapes of Europa are familiar by now, with secrets lying in wait. New weapons and armor are up for grabs, so is the new Stasis subclass. Not to mention the many foes that stand in your way, but more importantly, we get a look at the next season of Destiny 2, Season of the Hunt.
The Season of the Hunt will kick off on November 17, just a week after the Destiny 2: Beyond Light. For those well versed in the lore of the game, it will focus on the individual known as Xivu Arath. She just so happens to be one of Oryx’s sisters, and the Hive god of war. That will definitely not be a friendly encounter. Another returning face is that of the resurrected Uldren Sorv. The fearsome foe from the Forsaken expansion is now back as a Guardian who has no memories of his past.
FOMO no more
Other than these faces, the Destiny 2: Beyond Light trailer also introduced the Wrathborn Hunt as part of the Season of the Hunt. It could potentially bring Guardians back to the Dreaming City, which is definitely a plus in my book. With Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Bungie is making sure to address the feedback of players. Instead of removing content after the end of a season, Season of the Hunt will see most seasonal content and gear remain for all of the entire year. Even if you are late to the party, you will still be able to experience everything instead of missing out.
Bungie also shared the roadmap for Season of the Hunt. In preparation of the main story and activities, you can start accumulating progress for the battle pass and artefact once Beyond Light is live. The new expansion raid will also arrive shortly after on November 21.
