New Dragon Age 2 Images Introduce Aveline

BioWare has released a couple of in-engine stills and a concept art piece, depicting one of the party members who’ll be available to recruit in Dragon Age 2.
Aveline Vallen is, apparently “a soldier, a master of sword and shield, and a tireless guardian… to a point.” She also seems to be a big fan of wearing sleeveless armour, so it’s probably for the best that she’s a master of sword and shield. Unless her arms are made from titanium, in which case it doesn’t matter either way.
Anyway, according to the developers “Aveline is not the knight her father wished her to be. Although fully trained in chivalrous combat, she was raised in the shadow of a lost life and will not lose another for the sake of honor.” No doubt you’ll be able to find out more about her ‘lost life’ through the magic of dialogue options.
