Today at PAX East, Blizzard Entertainment announced the forthcoming release of the new Hearthstone adventure, Blackrock Mountain. Blackrock Mountain will be released next month.
Similar to last summer’s Curse of Naxxramas adventure, Blackrock Mountain will feature five wings, with one wing released every week for five weeks. Wings will have both normal and heroic difficulties, which will see players venture into the heart of the mountain to defeat Ragnaros the Firelord.
Thirty-one new cards will be released with the adventure, along with a new game board and a number of new card backs. Seventeen of these cards will be obtained by defeating each of the adventure’s seventeen bosses on normal difficulty.  Additionally, one legendary card will be available for completing each of the five wings.

The remaining nine cards will be class specific and can be obtained by completing the nine class challenges, which also return from Curse of Naxxramas. Players who complete the adventure on heroic difficulty will obtain the heroic card back.
The Dragon tribal card type appears to be prominent in the new set, with five cards currently having been revealed by Blizzard. Additionally, Blackrock Mountain will feature a new game board:
Pricing has been announced at $6.99 USD or 700 gold per wing, or $24.99 USD for the entire adventure. Pre-orders will be available starting March 19, with a special card back available only to those who pre-order.
