IO and Square Enix have released a new trailer for the upcoming Kane & Lynch sequel.
The gripping video demonstrates the game’s new shaky-cam/documentary style, combining an expletive-ridden gunfight and a scene in which everybody’s favourite unhinged criminal, Lynch, consults his medicine cabinet.
Developer IO revealed earlier in the year that, following the lukewarm reception to the first game, the team “threw away everything” apart from the characters and the game engine.
We’re glad to see Squenix and IO persevering with Kane & Lynch as the first game had some interesting story ideas, but was hampered by sub-par gameplay.
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is due for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 some time next year.
