New Tower Defense title Strategizer Kickstarter for 10K

The game has been in development since last year and the small team has been self-funding the project but are looking to make up a shortfall to get the title released this summer on the PC.

According to developer White Titan Games, this TD title “merges the lines between traditional Real Time Strategy and the modern simplistic Tower Defense formula”. In other words, add in resource collection and building construction and you have the Strategizer formula.

“We’ve wanted to create a TD game that didn’t suffer from the weaknesses we felt other such games inherited from the genre: a limited involvement in gameplay, and short life-span in terms of longevity. Strategizer: Art of Defense is now shaping up into becoming the biggest game of its genre, with unprecedented levels of depth and longevity”, says Ben Perchard, White Titan Games.

White Titan Games consists of developers based in the US, UK and Romania and even includes an  ex-Ubisoft artist who previously worked on ‘Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon among other titles. This is the first game in what they hope will be a thilogy of games which they hope will include a full RTS in the future.

The 10K they are looking for should be possible as the campaign doesn’t finish until 4 April. If this has piqued your interest, check out the shots and watch the trailer below then head to the Kickstarter page.
