Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl DLC characters potentially leaked

A very strong lineup if true
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl DLC

Today sees the release of perhaps the only true contender to the platform fighter crown with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The game is looking to give the reigning genre champ, Super Smash Bros., a run for its money. All-Star Brawl features rollback netcode, a functional lobby system, and slick gameplay provided by Ludosity — the creators of another Smash-like game, Slap City. Not only that, the game is available on all modern consoles, and also has a PC release. As these things tend to go, once a fighting game hits the PC, the leaks begin to drop as well. Some users on Reddit have found what could be the first season of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl DLC characters.

Now, as with all rumors, take everything said here with the appropriate grain of salt. Over on the game’s Reddit page, voice lines from the game’s announcer were found via datamining. It is worth nothing that the announcer is the only voice in the game, as all of the characters sadly do not have any voice lines — a side effect of the game’s modest budget, most likely.

I’m down for Tommy Pickles in the Reptar cart

While there are other characters listed, such as Donatello and Chuckie Finster, some in the datamine have voice lines attributed to them. Those characters include Plankton, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants, Jimmy Neutron, Tommy Pickles from Rugrats, Vlad Plasmius from Danny Phantom, Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life.

SpongeBob seems to be the game’s well, as far as characters and content are concerned. Unlike in Smash Bros. however, this makes sense as SpongeBob is easily Nick’s biggest property by a wide margin. Zuko, Vlad, and Rocko stand out to me, personally, as important additions to the roster. I can’t even imagine how Rocko would play, but I bet it would be wild.

Again, as this is all rumor, don’t take anything from this list as concrete facts. If this list is true though, this would be a very solid lineup for the game’s first, and hopefully not last, season of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl DLC characters. You can check out more on the game right now over at its page on Steam.
