Love him or hate him, there is no denying that good old Nicolas Cage has had some monumental roles. Who doesn’t remember The Rock, or Con Air, and look back fondly on his captivating, if not completely haywire, acting? He has been thrilling generations of moviegoers with his crazy methods. Now Nicolas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight.

Nicolas Cage comes to Dead by Daylight

The announcement on Twitter by the Dead by Daylight team doesn’t give too much away as to the nature of his cameo. We see the really rather impressive model of a current-day Cage. As he steps forward through the fog, voicing his own lines, his serious demeanor gives little away as to his intentions. Will he be a bad guy akin to Bad Lieutenant? Maybe he will be a die-hard survivor from Gone in 60 Seconds? Personally, I hope he is the wild card we would expect from Saving Arizona.

This isn’t the first cameo we have seen in Dead by Daylight. The horror game has seen the likes of Freddy Kruger, Jill Valentine, and Nancy Wheeler gracing the fog. Nicolas Cage will no doubt be a great addition to the team. It looks like he will be simply playing as his usual self, fighting his way through the realm between realities to defeat or assist the Entity.

Survivor or villain?

All we are given so far are the mysterious words from the man himself: “There is nothing more powerful than imagination, it can shape the fabric of reality… transforming everything you think you may know.” as he fades in from the black background. He will be released in the next update on July 5th. However, if you can’t wait for news before then, make sure you tune into the Dead by Daylight anniversary show on the 23rd of May.
