This unfortunate news means that they will be unable to recode and rerelease the game on modern computers.

Night Dive founder Stephen Kick and Larry Kuperman explained that their attempts to acquire the license are caught in the middle of a legal quagmire, as Activision, 20th Century Fox, and Warner Bros have been proven to be uncooperative in establishing who actually owns the rights to the franchise.

You can read the details here, but for fans who played the game back in the day, and newer gamers who are curious to get a taste, this is terrible news.
