Not John Steinbeck: Of Orcs And Men

After the latest batch of Orcicide, news of an RPG in which you actually play as an orc and feel his pain (maybe).
The Steinbeck-referencing Of Orcs And Men will be a joint development between Cyanide Studios (they of Blood Bowl and the upcoming Games of Thrones title) and Spiders (Faery: Legends of Avalon). It doesn’t show many signs of being a complex fantasy allegory for the US Great Depression, but there’s still time for that.

Instead, “Of Orcs and Men first puts you into the role of an elite Orc soldier from the legendary legion of Bloodjaws, a league of warriors deeply involved in the war opposing the Orcs and Goblins on one side to their persecutors, Humankind.” You see, you’ve been hand picked to end Imperial oppression of the Orcish kind by assassinating the Emperor himself.
Somewhere along the line, you’ll be joined by a Goblin pal who’ll be something of an opposite in terms of skills. He’ll apparently “benefit from darker powers and stealth abilities, making him the perfect assassin.” Which sounds handy.
