Octopath Traveler 2 – Who to look for to begin Culinary Cooking

You can begin Culinary Cooking by talking to the Cooking Enthusiast found on the third floor in the Beasting Village on Toto’haha. He’ll mention a recipe he’s heard of from the humans that he’s desperate to learn. It’s your job to help the beasting make a worthy meal.

To find the recipe to complete Culinary Cooking in Octopath Traveler 2, you need to go to Tropu’hopu. It’s a human settlement found in the northeast of Toto’haha. The best way to get there is to fast travel to Beasting Bay: Anchorage and then run east. Be aware that this passage is a level 18 area, so it’s risky to pass through if you’re under-leveled.

After entering Tropu’hopu, go north past the stilt houses and enter the Floating Theater. Immediately after entering the Floating Theater, there will be a female Street Vendor on your right. You need to obtain the Spicy Chicken Recipe from the Street Vendor using either Castti’s Inquire, Hikari’s Bribe, Osvald’s Scrutinize, or Temenos’ Coerce Path Action.

With the recipe in hand, you should now head back to the Beasting Village. Speak to the Cooking Enthusiast who gave you the quest and, when prompted to share the recipe, select ‘Yes.’ The cook will go over what the recipe says and then thank you for your help. After the cutscene ends, you’ll have completed Culinary Cooking in Octopath Traveler 2 and be rewarded 3,000 Leaves and a Gluttonous Glaive polearm.
