Oculus rift VR

Today was supposed to be the big Oculus Rift launch day with all deliveries arriving to those that had pre-ordered but there appears to be a delay.

In a series of Tweets for Oculus’ Palmer Luckey, only Kickstarter backers are likely to receive their Oculus Rift today and it sounds like there has been last minute delays. Palmer Luckey posted:

“Shipping update: Kickstarter Rifts will start arriving Mon, pre-orders start shipping mid-week (likely Wed) and will arrive this week too.

“Stay tuned for future updates, I will give them as soon as possible – this particular update was set in stone just hours ago!”

It’s a public holiday in the UK today, and possibly elsewhere, so it would be unlikely any deliveries would arrive here. It’s frustrating nevertheless for anyone who’s been waiting for the doorbell to ring.
