Oddworld: Soulstorm Mudokon guide — Phat Station, Hijack, and Old Trellis

After venturing forth from Sorrow Valley, Abe will eventually reach Phat Station. From there, he'll need to hijack a train to reach the Old Trellis. Here's our guide to help you out with Oddworld: Soulstorm's next few levels: Phat Station (level 6), The Hijack (level 7), and Reunion At Old Trellis (level 8). Oddworld: Soulstorm Mudokon locations guide - Phat Station (level 6), The Hijack (level 7), and Old Trellis (level 8) Since we'll tackle several Mudokon locations across multiple levels in Oddworld: Soulstorm, you can refer to the pages below for the parts that you need help with: Level 6: Phat Station Level 7: The Hijack Level 8: Reunion at Old Trellis Level 6: Phat Station Phat Station is one big, fat level in Oddworld: Soulstorm and Abe will be able to rescue 32 Mudokons here. An important tip you'd want to remember is to pick up as many rocks as possible near the start of the level (the section leads to a secret area with a Royal Jelly). Rocks can help stun and distract the mobs that you'll face. Combined with other means, such as using steam vents to stay hidden, you'll have an easier time traversing the level. Mudokons: 32 Required for 80%: 26 Mudokon #1 and 2 The first two Mudokons can be found along the pathway prior to the section with steam vents and snipers. There's a bird portal at a lower ledge. These are the only two Mudokons outside the station proper. Mudokon #3 to 8 You'll eventually reach a room with lockers where six Mudokons are chilling. Abe can hide in the lockers and the Mudokons will follow suit. Unfortunately, the AI can be a little clumsy at times. One or two Mudokons might not even bother hiding, and they'd get shot out in the open. This is mostly a trial-and-error thing with a bit of luck involved. Alternatively, you can tell a few Mudokons to wait behind (fewer Mudokons will help the AI decide on keeping them hidden). Just come back for the rest once the others have escaped. Mudokon #9 to 11 The outer section has you turning valves and saving a few Mudokons. You'll need to use the steam vents to stay hidden from prying enemy eyes. Mudokon #12 to 14 This part takes place indoors once more. Use the smoke bomb to block the electric laser trap generated by the moving mob. Mudokon#15 to 20 There are six Mudokons all over the construction area. Once again, you're using steam vents and various projectiles to sneak past or take out your foes. After this, you'll take a cable car to the central part of Phat Station. Mudokon #21 to 32 All of these Mudokons are encountered as you progress further, and you'll actually end up having all 12 following you by the end of Oddworld: Soulstorm's Phat Station level. They can't climb giant ladders, so Abe will have to do that himself to activate switches and open doorways. You can also continuously pull on levers to slow down the rotating pistons. Lastly, watch out for pistons that can crush everyone while you're running past them. Anyway, let's talk about the next level where you'll need to save Mudokons: The Hijack. Level 7: The Hijack The Hijack is the seventh level in Oddworld: Soulstorm. It takes place on an adrenaline-pumping setpiece, that of a moving train. You'll actually encounter all the Mudokons early in the level, but the only bird portal appears towards the end. Mudokons: 15 Required for 80%: 12 Note: Look for monkey bars attached to undercarriages. You can use these to traverse the level or find secret areas. Mudokon #1 to 3 You'll find them inside the first train car. Mudokon #4 to 6 They're a couple of cars past this. You'll spot monkey bars at the bottom. Mudokon #7 to 12 They're inside the nearby cars as well. Mudokon #13 to 15 You'll eventually reach an area called the Boxcar Lounge (it's got several vending machines). The car before that has monkey bars that you can grab. Throw a brew bottle and a flare to burn the undercarriage and create an opening. Alternatively, you can possess a Flying Slig and shoot the floor. Slig Mama Soon, you'll come across a giant tank, the Slig Mama. Have your followers stay back and wait. Abe has to move a bit closer to the Slig Mama, then throw a few brew bottles underneath the tank. This will cause the canister to explode, destroying the Slig Mama in the process. From here, make your way across a few cars until you spot the bird portal. Anyway, let's discuss the Reunion at Old Trellis level. Level 8: Reunion at Old Trellis Oddworld: Soulstorm's Reunion at Old Trellis level is fairly short, but there are several "Mudokon Escape" minigames that you need to complete. Mudokons: 254 (four are rescued normally and the rest are from the minigame encounters). Required for 80%: 204 Mudokon #1 to 4 These four Mudokons are all encountered as you explore the level. There are Sligs nearby and you'd need to eliminate or evade them. Mudokon Escape Eventually, you'll reach the holding pen areas. There are three encounters here and multiple Sligs will appear to shoot down the 250 Mudokons that are attempting to escape. You can equip your four followers with bouncing candy or rocks to help you stun the mobs. Try to limit your casualties so you can reach the 80% requirement.
