A new game based on the guy who’s a hero just for fun has been announced. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the first video game based on the hit-manga-turned-anime to be released on PC and consoles. Check out the announcement trailer below!

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will let you live out your anime fight fantasy by featuring three-on-three battles. Teams can be made up of the roster of One Punch Man characters, such as Genos, Speed-O-Sound Sonic, and (my personal favorite) Mumen Rider. Saitama himself will even be playable and is noted to be the protagonist of A Hero Nobody Knows. The game looks to be an arcade-style fighting game set on a 3D background, with each of the characters having their own light and heavy attacks, as well as a finisher, pulled straight from the manga and anime series themselves.

One Punch Man is based on is the fantastic idea that Saitama has trained his body to the point where he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. While he loves being a hero, he is in constant search for an enemy that can really challenge him. It will be interesting to see how A Hero Nobody Knows will incorporate this into fights. We see Saitama throwing a myriad of punches at lower power and barely defending himself from other fighters’ attacks, so he’s definitely not operating at his strongest. Perhaps he will be at full power when fighting one of the more sinister villains.

The released date for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows has not been revealed, but the announcement trailer mentions that it will be “coming soon.” The game will be releasing on PC digitally, as well as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Let us know if you’re excited to put on the yellow suit and red cape of One Punch Man!
