Outriders Worldslayer expansion brings more story missions and a revamped endgame to PC this June

Outriders Worldslayer Expansion Revealed Endgame Story

An Outrider’s work is never done, eh? Earlier today, Square Enix and developer People Can Fly hosted a livestream to unveil Outriders Worldslayer, the game’s first expansion. It’ll arrive with many expected features: a new campaign, more weapons and gear, and a new baddie to bash. But it will also address one of the critiques of the base game. The Outriders Worldslayer expansion revamps its endgame content with tougher difficulty tiers and an Ascension system.

Worldslayer continues your journey in the world of Enoch. You defeated your enemies, but the Anomaly, the bizarre energy that ravages the planet, has worsened. You also have to deal with a new big bad, Ereshkigal, a human insurgent faction commander. New foes are found in desolate, frozen regions of the planet.

A looter shooter first and foremost, the expansion brings even more gear your way. You’ll get choice picks of new weaponry and legendary armor sets. There are around 100 new legendary items in all, comprising multiple two-piece and five-piece legendary sets for the game’s classes.

Bring on what’s next

However, it’s the endgame rework that’ll most likely attract players back to try the Outriders Worldslayer expansion. The level cap will increase to 40 for your current characters, but you can also get a Level 30 Boost if you want to jump into Worldslayer right away. A new skill tree system, called PAX, adds another skill tree the brings along two more subclasses. There will also be an Ascension system, which doesn’t look too far off from Diablo III‘s Paragon system. You can earn up to 200 points that you can place into Endurance, Brutality, and Anomaly abilities.

The expansion also includes Apocalypse Tiers. With said tiers, gear gets a new level cap of Level 75. There’s also high-quality Apocalypse gear, which throws a third mod slot into the mix.

It’s pretty clear that People Can Fly is taking the Outriders‘ endgame feedback seriously. With everything in tow, Outriders Worldslayer looks to offer way more for folks who want to keep playing even after all the story content is done. The expansion may indeed offer that once it releases on June 30.
