Overwatch loot box duplicates being drastically reduced

Jeff Kaplan is back with another Overwatch developer update. This week he discusses the highlights feature and how that is being enhanced to allow players to export highlights to a video file. There also are options to record the video in different ways such as outputting video at a higher resolution that you could usually play with.

The other topic of discussion is loot boxes and they are going to “drastically reduce” the number of duplicates that appear. To compensate for not having as many duplicates to convert to credits, Blizzard is increasing the number of credits that can be received from loot boxes. Kaplan says the credit intake “will be the same if not more” when the change is complete.
