Overwatch Gets Two New Heroes and Beta to Start in Fall

Today at PAX East, Blizzard Entertainment announced two new characters for its upcoming first-person online shooter Overwatch. Blizzard also announced that the beta for the game will begin this fall.

The first new character, Zarya, is a female tank character who can fire powerful beams and manipulate gravity, allowing her to create a rift that sucks enemy players to a single location. She can also create protective barriers around herself or allies.

McCree is the other new character. A gunslingler with a six-shooter, his normal attacks allow him to fire individual shots or a rapid burst. He can also use his Deadeye ability to simultaneously target multiple opponents before unleashing a fatal barrage in a single trigger pull.

Blizzard also announced a new map for Overwatch called Watchpoint: Gibralter.
